Classic Co-op operates classicco-op.com, including its articles and couch co-op game database. This page explains what information may be collected when you visit and how to contact us.

Information we receive

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, and message. We use it to respond and manage the conversation.

Squarespace hosts this website and may collect technical information needed to operate and protect it, including device, browser, IP address, pages visited, and cookie information. Squarespace Analytics may provide us with information about visits and use of the site.

Cookies and advertising

The site and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, measure traffic, and display content. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons and IP addresses to collect information as a result of ads being served on this site. Google and its partners use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. We may use Google AdSense to display ads on selected pages. The site may also include embedded videos and links to YouTube, Patreon, Twitch, Instagram, TikTok, and other services. Those services may collect data under their own policies when you interact with them.

How we use and share information

We use information to run and improve the site, respond to messages, understand site traffic, and support advertising where enabled. We share information with providers that help operate these functions, such as Squarespace and advertising or embedded-content providers. We do not publish the contents of your email to us without your permission.

Classic Co-op Automation and YouTube API Services

Classic Co-op Automation is a private tool that only the owner of Classic Co-op uses, to manage the owner’s own YouTube channel, Classic Co-op Gameplay. It is not offered to visitors or to anyone else. Classic Co-op Automation uses YouTube API Services. By using YouTube features through it, you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).

What it accesses: with the channel owner’s Google authorization (OAuth), Classic Co-op Automation accesses only the owner’s own Classic Co-op Gameplay channel: the channel’s ID and name (to confirm it is acting on the correct channel), the list of the channel’s own uploads and their basic details (video ID, title, description, privacy status, publish time), and the channel’s own playlists. It uploads the owner’s own gameplay videos, along with their titles, descriptions and thumbnails, and adds them to the owner’s existing playlists. It does not access other users’ data, viewer information, comments, subscribers or analytics.

What it stores: an authorization token, and a small inventory of the channel’s own videos and playlists, are kept on the owner’s own computer, with backups on the owner’s own storage device. This information is used only to avoid duplicate uploads and to schedule the owner’s videos. It is not sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising. Classic Co-op Automation does not use cookies or collect information from website visitors.

Revoking access: access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). After access is revoked, the stored token and channel inventory are deleted within 30 days.

Your choices

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.
