A Microsoft Store listing for Shrek 2 Remastered appeared on October 16, 2026, before being removed. The listing names Aspyr as developer and confirms up to four-player couch co-op, online multiplayer, and mixed local and online play.
The remaster rebuilds the 2004 action-adventure game with improved textures, an updated interface, 4K resolution, new cutscenes, Photo Mode, and Cheat Mode. Players can swap heroes during combat, boss fights, and environmental puzzles. An official announcement and release date have not been posted yet.
