Description: Zarlor Mercenary is a vertically scrolling shoot ’em up where players pilot spacecraft through enemy territory, destroying enemy ships, ground targets, and large bosses at the end of each mission. Players earn money during missions that can be spent between levels at the Merchant of Venus shop, where upgrades like lasers, shields, wing cannons, and mega bombs can be purchased. Players choose from seven different mercenary pilots, each with their own unique weapon or ability.
Co-op: Up to four players can play together using the ComLynx cable. Each player needs their own Atari Lynx system and a copy of the game connected with ComLynx cables. Players fly through missions at the same time destroying enemies and collecting money for upgrades. While players can work cooperatively to complete the game, certain items like the Backstabber allow players to attack each other, adding a competitive element to multiplayer sessions.
