Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon R
Release Date: 1993
Genre: Beat ’em Up
Players: 1–2

Description - Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon R is a side-scrolling beat ’em up based on the second season of the Sailor Moon anime. You play as one of the Sailor Guardians, each with unique attributes and screen-clearing special attacks, fighting through stages inspired by the series. It builds on the previous Super Famicom entry with improved mechanics, more moves, and additional content including a Chibiusa-focused mode and a separate versus fighting mode. While the core gameplay is straightforward, the presentation, character variety, and anime accuracy give it a distinct identity among 16-bit brawlers.

Co-op Experience - Two players can play simultaneously, each controlling a different Sailor Guardian. Co-op includes unique combined attacks designed specifically for two-player play, encouraging coordination rather than just mirroring single-player.
