Release Date: 1992
Genre: Beat ’em Up / Action RPG
Players: 1–2

Description - Shodai Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun is the Super Famicom follow-up to the original Kunio-kun / Renegade, blending side-scrolling brawler action with RPG progression. Set in Osaka, the game has Kunio and his allies fighting rival gangs while exploring the city, gaining experience, leveling up stats, and learning new moves. Combat includes punches, kicks, grabs, and special techniques powered by a Ki system, while progression involves interacting with NPCs, triggering encounters, and collecting items and equipment. It expands the formula of earlier games with a more open structure and deeper mechanics.

Co-op Experience - Two players can play simultaneously, with the second player controlling Riki. Both players fight through encounters together, leveling up and learning moves while sharing the same screen. Friendly fire is always active, adding an extra layer of chaos during fights.
