• Description - The Great Battle V is one of the more unique entries in Banpresto’s Compati Hero series, combining side-scrolling action with third-person shooting segments. Instead of sticking to one style, it shifts between Mega Man X-style platforming and Wild Guns-inspired shooting sections. You play as Fighter Roar with a chosen partner, each bringing different abilities, weapons, and routes through the game. The structure adds replay value, but the split focus can make the overall experience feel a bit unfocused compared to earlier entries.

• Co-op Experience - Two players can play together simultaneously, with each player controlling a different character. Co-op works best during the side-scrolling stages, where players can coordinate movement, attacks, and abilities to handle enemies and navigate levels. The shooting sections are slower and more methodical, but still allow both players to fight side by side.
